With the Huzzle Cast Cake from Hanayama, you get a compact and elegant metal brain teaser at Level 4 – Hard. The puzzle is shaped like a small round cake, with a piece that appears to have been taken out. Inside, there are three hidden layers that must be manipulated in the correct order to free the pieces.
A small cake with hidden mechanics
The Cast Cake looks almost simple and decorative at first glance, but it conceals a clever mechanism. Its round shape and internal layers require you to think in terms of rotation, positions, and slight shifts to proceed.
It is not about strength, but about patience and precision. Each movement must be investigated, and the three layers must work together in the right way before the solution begins to make sense.
Three layers, one correct solution
The puzzle consists of an outer "cake mold" and three inner layers that can move relative to each other. The task is to figure out how the layers must be rotated and positioned so that they can be separated.
Once you have taken it apart, the next challenge arises: Can you reassemble the Cast Cake so that all the layers fall correctly into place?
