Frequently Asked Questions
What is a 3D Metal Puzzle?
A 3D Metal Puzzle is an advanced construction kit where you assemble a detailed three-dimensional object from precision-cut metal parts.
Depending on the model, you use a combination of laser-cut metal plates, screws, nuts, threaded rods, spacers, and joints — all assembled with the included tools.
The result is a fully articulated model — for example, an insect, an animal, a robot, or a mechanical figure — which you have built yourself from scratch and which can be posed and displayed.
What's included in the package?
Everything you need to assemble the model is included in the package. You will find precision-cut metal sheets and plastic parts, numbered bags with screws, nuts, threaded rods, and spacers, as well as an illustrated step-by-step assembly guide.
Tools typically included are a Phillips screwdriver, an Allen key, and a spanner for nuts — depending on the model. If you wish for an even more comfortable building experience, you can find extra quality tools like tweezers and precision tools in our shop.
Do I need glue or special tools?
No – all models are assembled without glue. All necessary tools are included in the package: typically a Phillips screwdriver, an Allen key, and a spanner for nuts. The pieces are screwed and clicked into place step by step.
If you want an even more enjoyable building process, you can find extra quality tools such as precision tweezers in our shop.
What difficulty levels are there?
We divide our models into three levels: Beginner (1–3 hours), Intermediate (3–6 hours), and Expert (6+ hours).
The more complex models contain hundreds of tiny screws, nuts, and metal parts distributed in numbered bags – and require patience and precision.
The difficulty level is stated in the product description. If you are new, we recommend starting with one of our mini models or a model marked as "Beginner."
What is the difference between the different models?
Our models come in many variants — from compact starter kits to large, complex masterpieces.
Some models are in polished metal, while others are pre-treated with color-coated plates in gold, silver, copper, green, red or black — and also contain colored plastic parts that give the model color and depth directly from the package, without further treatment.
What is the 3D Metal Puzzle Wand?
The 3D Metal Puzzle Wand is a special accessory kit with a specially designed magnet used to activate and turn on the LED light in selected models.
The wand is compatible with the following models: 3D Large War Scorpion Black - Tactical Hybrid Edition, 3D Metal War Scorpion Red All Metal Puzzle, 3D War Spider Overlord - All Metal Red, 3D War Spider Overlord - Black Hybrid Edition, 3D Punk Crab Metal Puzzle - Green, 3D Punk Crab Metal Puzzle - Red, 3D Metal Puzzle Black Fox, 3D Metal Puzzle Red Fox, 3D Metal Puzzle White Fox, 3D Giant Praying Mantis Blue/Purple/Silver, 3D Giant Praying Mantis Green/Silver, 3D Angel Fish Blue Metal Puzzle, 3D Angel Fish Red Metal Puzzle, 3D Cyberpunk Mecha Bear Red/Black, and 3D Cyberpunk Mecha Bear White/Silver/Gold.
The wand is sold separately in our shop, but is also available as a bundle with the Fox models.
Are 3D Metal Puzzles suitable for children?
Most models are designed for adults and young people from about 14 years and older, as they contain many tiny screws, nuts, and sharp metal parts.
From about 10 years old, children can easily start with the simpler sets — preferably together with an adult, as a shared experience.
For younger children, we recommend our 3D Paper Puzzles or our selection of kinesthetic toys, which are more age-appropriate and safe.
How long does it take to build a model?
It depends on the complexity of the model. A mini-model typically takes 30–60 minutes, a medium-sized model 2–4 hours, and the large masterpieces like the Steampunk Owl or War Scorpion can take 8–15+ hours spread over several sessions.
The complex models contain many numbered bags with hundreds of parts, which are assembled section by section — wings, abdomen, legs, head, and tentacles — before finally being put together into the finished figure.
See the estimated build time in the product description.
Can I disassemble and reassemble the model?
Technically yes, but we don't recommend it as a regular habit. The models are assembled with screws and nuts, so it is possible to unscrew them again — but the threads in the tiny screws can wear out with repeated disassembly.
The model is primarily designed to be assembled once and then displayed or posed.
What do I do if a piece breaks or is missing?
Contact us at support@puzzlesandmore.dk with your order number and a description of the issue. We will help you find a solution — either by sending a replacement part or finding an alternative solution.
We believe in our products and want you to have the best experience.
What's the difference between the different sizes?
Our models are available in mini (approx. 5–10 cm), medium (approx. 10–20 cm), and large (20+ cm). The mini models are quick to build and great for an introduction — they contain fewer parts and a simpler screw and assembly system.
The large models are impressive masterpieces with extremely high levels of detail, many movable joints, and hundreds of parts — perfect for display.
Can I get instructions in Danish?
The instructions are primarily illustration-based and follow the model step-by-step with numbered bags and clear drawings.
Most instructions have detailed explanations in English for some steps, but language skills are rarely necessary — the drawings are detailed enough to follow the process visually.
If you have any questions along the way, please feel free to contact us at support@puzzlesandmore.dk, and we will be happy to help you.
Which models have LED lights?
We have two types of models with LED lighting — those that are switched on with a magnet, and those that are switched on with a rotary knob or voice activation.
Switched on with a magnet (via included magnet or 3D Metal Puzzle Wand):
3D Large War Scorpion Black - Tactical Hybrid Edition, 3D Metal War Scorpion Red All Metal Puzzle, 3D War Spider Overlord - All Metal Red, 3D War Spider Overlord - Black Hybrid Edition, 3D Punk Crab Metal Puzzle - Green, 3D Punk Crab Metal Puzzle - Red, 3D Metal Puzzle Black Fox, 3D Metal Puzzle Red Fox, 3D Metal Puzzle White Fox, 3D Giant Praying Mantis Blue/Purple/Silver, 3D Giant Praying Mantis Green/Silver, 3D Angel Fish Blue Metal Puzzle, 3D Angel Fish Red Metal Puzzle, 3D Cyberpunk Mecha Bear Red/Black as well as 3D Cyberpunk Mecha Bear White/Silver/Gold.
Switched on with a rotary knob on the LED light itself:
3D Steampunk Owl Metal Puzzle, 3D Spider King Metal Puzzle, 3D War Beetle, 3D Firefly Metal Puzzle as well as 3D Base Metal Puzzle.
Voice-activated + rotary knob:
3D Wasp On Pole Metal Puzzle — this model is voice-activated and also has a rotary knob.
Do I need to buy the 3D Metal Puzzle Wand separately?
The wand is not included in the models, but the magnet-activated models come with a small magnet that can be used to turn on the light.
The 3D Metal Puzzle Wand is an exclusive accessory set with a larger and more precise special magnet – perfect if you want the full experience or own multiple models.
The wand is sold separately in our shop and is also available as a bundle with the Fox models.
Can the batteries in the LED light be replaced?
Yes, all LED lights use coin cell batteries, which are easy to replace. Check the battery itself to find the type, and find a similar new one in an electronics store or supermarket.
On some models, you need to disassemble individual parts to access the battery — but consider it a small extra challenge at no extra cost. You've already proven you can assemble it once. 😉
What is the difference between a spinner and a fidget?
A spinner rotates on its own axis and is designed to spin as long and smoothly as possible — that's the classic "fidget spinner" experience.
A fidget is a broader term for toys that keep your hands busy: it can be something you click, press, twist, or fold.
For example, our ShockX series are fidgets with mechanical functions, while our metal spinners are pure rotation-based spinners.
What is the ShockX series?
ShockX is our series of premium metal fidgets with a mechanical and tactile design. ShockX Pro, ShockX Breaker, and Shock Bomb are all made of metal and provide a solid, satisfying feel in the hand.
They are perfect for those who need something to keep their fingers busy — at the desk, on the sofa, or on the go.
Are spinners and fidgets just for kids?
Not at all. Our spinners and fidgets are primarily designed for adults and young people who want a discreet way to keep their hands busy — for example, during concentration-demanding work, in meetings, or as a stress reliever.
Metal versions like our Black Metal Phantom Spinner and Black Gold Armor Burst Spinner are distinct executive editions focusing on aesthetics and a sense of quality.
What is the Magic Infinity Cube?
The Magic Infinity Cube is a magnetic folding cube that can be shaped into more than 72 unique forms.
The cubes are colorful and come with two different patterns that change and reveal themselves as you fold and twist them — it's almost meditative to work with. The built-in magnets hold the shape in place and provide a satisfying click every time you lock in a new figure.
The fun doesn't stop with one cube: you can combine 2, 3, or up to 4 cubes to create completely new and more complex figures. Can you collect them all? 😊
The Magic Infinity Cube is available in many colorful variations and is also sold in a 3-pack — perfect if you want one at work, one at home, and one in your bag.
What is the Anti-Stress Infinity Gear Ball?
The Infinity Gear Ball is a large (10 cm) ball consisting of intertwined gear mechanisms that can be rotated and manipulated in all directions.
It is both visual and tactile — and works well as a desk decoration when not in use. Available in black/red.
What are 9 Wheel Spinners and 4 Wheel Cube Spinners?
Both are advanced metal spinners with multiple rotating wheels. The 9 Wheel Spinner has nine wheels that spin simultaneously, creating an impressive visual effect. The 4 Wheel Cube Spinner combines spinner mechanics with a cubic shape.
Both are made of metal and are designed for those who want a little more than the classic spinner.
Is the Anti Stress Revolver Fidget Spinner anything special?
Yes — the Revolver Spinner is one of our most popular and best-selling spinners. It features an iconic metal revolver cylinder design that spins elegantly and feels solid in the hand.
The bullets can be removed and reinserted — just like in a real revolver — adding an extra tactile and playful element. It's small enough for your pocket, yet impressive enough to draw attention.
An excellent choice as a small gift or for yourself.
What is a slider fidget?
A slider is a small, compact fidget toy that slides back and forth via magnets, providing a distinctive haptic sensation each time it hits the end stop.
It's the kind of object that almost subconsciously finds its way into your hand because it simply feels good to slide. The magnets provide a precise and satisfying "click" with every movement — neither too hard nor too soft.
Our Black Metal Triangle Slider is crafted from solid metal and is small enough to fit discreetly in your pocket or on your desk. Perfect for those who need something to keep their fingers busy — without sound, without a screen, and without distracting others. An analog break that fits in your hand.
What is the Metal Infinity Cube?
The Metal Infinity Cube is a compact fidget cube made of solid metal — available in black, silver, and gold. It consists of small interconnected squares that can be folded and turned repeatedly in an almost hypnotic motion.
The cube is quiet, discreet, and fits perfectly in a pocket or on a desk.
Many use it to reduce stress and promote focus during work or study — their hands are occupied while their minds find calm. It's a unique and stylish gift that looks good and lasts a long time.
Unlike the Magic Infinity Cube, the Metal Infinity Cube is not magnetic and cannot be combined with other cubes — but in return, it is more durable and has a more exclusive feel in the hand.
What is a puzzle box?
A puzzle box is a box or container with a hidden opening mechanism — you must solve one or more puzzles to access its contents.
These can include mechanical locks, maze tracks, symbol codes, or combinations thereof.
At Puzzles & More, we offer puzzle boxes in many forms: from elegant wooden boxes with an escape room theme (the Cluebox series), to cryptex cylinders with letter codes, to advanced 3D-printed cubes with multiple layers of puzzles.
What is a Cryptex, and how does it work?

Inside, there is a small hidden compartment, perfect for storing a ring, a gift card, a cash gift, or a secret message. The Cryptex comes in an elegant gift box and is available in several variations: Rustic/Gold, Rustic/White, and Gold. Please note:
A printed guide is not included — many people prefer to crack the code themselves as part of the experience. The solution can be seen as the last image on the product page, or requested as a PDF via support@puzzlesandmore.dk.
What is the Cluebox series?
Cluebox is a series of handmade wooden boxes from iDventure that function as a compact escape room.
Each box is meticulously crafted from birch wood with laser-cut details and contains a series of mechanical puzzles that must be solved in sequence to open the box.
Once the puzzle is solved, a small hidden compartment is revealed — perfect for storing a gift, a piece of jewelry, or a message. The box can be closed and reassembled, allowing you to share the challenge with others.

Additionally, the cube conceals a main vault and 3 extra secret compartments where clues can be hidden along the way. The cube is 3D-printed in Denmark from PLA and comes with a display stand.
Difficulty: Challenging (Level 4/6). Solution not included but can be requested at puzzlesandmore.dk.

If you wish for it to be disassembled upon receipt (e.g., as a cash gift), please add a comment to your order.
Can puzzle boxes be used as gift boxes?

Additionally, the cube conceals a main vault and 3 extra secret compartments where clues can be hidden along the way. The cube is 3D-printed in Denmark from PLA and comes with a display stand.
Difficulty: Challenging (Level 4/6). Solution not included but can be requested at puzzlesandmore.dk.
What is Money Maze Vault?
The Money Maze Vault is a 3D-printed maze box designed to turn a cash gift into a challenge.
The Triple Lock version features three individual maze layers that must be solved in sequence to reach the hidden compartment in the center — there is space for up to 5 tightly rolled banknotes.
It is manufactured in Denmark from PLA plastic and is available in a colourful gradient design with a brick texture on the outer ring. Difficulty: Medium (Level 3/6).
We also offer the Seven Trials Edition — an extended version with even more challenges. Please note: The Money Maze is delivered assembled.
If you wish for it to be disassembled upon receipt (e.g., as a cash gift), please add a comment to your order.
Can puzzle boxes be used as gift boxes?
Yes - it is actually one of the most popular ways to use them. The Cryptex is perfect for storing a ring, a gift card, or a secret message. The Money Maze Vault is designed specifically for cash gifts.
Both the Cluebox and the Alchemist Cube have hidden compartments that can be used to store a small gift or message. This gives the recipient an extra experience before they get to the actual gift. Do you want inspiration on how to wrap a cash gift in a different and memorable way?

Do puzzle boxes come with a solution?
It depends on the product. Generally, a printed solution is not included — many people want to crack the code themselves as part of the experience. For the Da Vinci Cryptex, the solution can be found as the last image on the product page. For Cluebox and Alchemist Cube, the solution can be requested electronically by writing to support@puzzlesandmore.dk.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Yes – we offer beautiful gift wrapping and can send directly to the recipient. You can add gift wrapping when placing your order.
Please add a comment to your order if there's anything special we should consider, for example, if the gift should be sent directly to the recipient without a receipt.
Can you send the gift directly to the recipient?
Yes, we can certainly do that. Simply enter the recipient's address as the delivery address when ordering.
Remember to add gift wrapping so the package looks nice upon arrival. We will ensure that no prices are visible in the package.
