Welcome to a fantastic hobby! Building 3D metal puzzles is an incredibly relaxing and satisfying way to unwind. But when you see the large, complex models with hundreds of parts and LED lights, it can feel a bit overwhelming. Where do you even begin?
Don't worry – everyone can join in. The assembly instructions are visual and easy to follow, and with the right tools, it's a breeze. To help you get started, we've divided our models into three levels, so you can find the perfect project for your skill level.
Level 1: Beginner – The Perfect Start If you've never built a metal puzzle before, it's a good idea to start with a model that has a manageable number of parts but still produces an impressive result.
  • Scorpio models (449 DKK): Our colorful scorpions (available in red/silver, gold/silver, and purple/silver, among others) are fantastic beginner models. With around 304 parts, you'll get a good feel for the technique, and the finished result is incredibly beautiful.
  • Spider King: If you're more into spiders, the Spider King is an excellent choice. It also has around 304 parts and a raw steampunk design that makes it fun to build without being too complicated.
Level 2: Intermediate – More Details and Moving Parts Once you've built your first model and mastered the technique, you're ready to take the next step. Here you'll find models with more parts, unique colors, and articulated joints.
  • 3D Punk Crab & Angel Fish: These models offer fantastic colors and fun building techniques that challenge you a bit more.
  • Wasp models (749 DKK): Our large wasps, for example in gold/silver, are incredibly detailed. With 314 parts and a build time of 5-6 hours, you'll get a project that requires a bit more patience but rewards you with a true work of art.
  • 3D Fox (e.g., White Fox): An incredibly elegant model with 339 parts, ultra-articulated joints in the tail, and magnetic LED lights in the eyes. It takes 5-8 hours to build and is a fantastic project for the experienced builder.
Level 3: Expert – The Ultimate Challenge Are you ready for the big project? These models are massive, heavy, and packed with mechanical details and LED lights. They require time and patience, but the result is nothing short of spectacular.
  • War Scorpion: The ultimate upgrade. With over 1200 metal parts, a weight of 1.2 kg, and integrated LED lights in the tail, body, and claws, this is a massive project that takes 16-20 hours to complete.
  • Giant Praying Mantis: A colossal mechanical marvel with 1200 parts and LED lights in its eyes, abdomen, and jaws. It's enormous (41 cm long) and offers a building experience in a class of its own.
  • Wasp with lights: The most advanced wasp models with built-in lights that truly bring the steampunk magic to life and require a steady hand.
  • Steampunk Seahorse with lamp: A spectacular project for the ambitious intermediate builder. With approximately 2100 parts in metal, leather, and copper, you build a majestic seahorse with built-in lights in its belly (16 colors via remote control). It takes 10-14 hours to assemble and functions as a beautiful mood lamp afterward.
Remember the tools! No matter what level you start at, we strongly recommend using our Toolset for 3D models (10 pieces) and a good silicone mat. This makes it much easier to assemble the parts precisely, and the mat ensures you don't lose the small screws along the way.
Find your favorite, clear the dining table, and get ready for hours of immersive enjoyment!
