Puzzle Potato Anti-Gravity - Escape Room Puzzle Box - Metal Version

A puzzle box that seems to defy gravity.

Can you figure out the mechanics and reveal the secret behind Anti-Gravity?

Puzzle Potato Anti-Gravity is a completely different kind of escape room puzzle box. Instead of the classic box shape, it is built around a complex, geometric construction of wood and metal, where multiple parts intersect to create the illusion that the puzzle box itself is almost floating inside its frame.

This is not just a visual trick. The construction is an integral part of the puzzle experience.

Newton's secret invention

The story is based on Isaac Newton and his interest in alchemy and science.

According to legend, Newton worked on a secret invention that could challenge gravity itself. He hid his work, but many years later, a mysterious object appeared at an auction. It is said to have belonged to Newton – and perhaps it still contains the final part of his research.

No one has been able to open it.

Perhaps you will be the first.

A truly unique construction

The first thing that catches your eye is the design.

Anti-Gravity consists of a central wood-based puzzle with three striking frame parts that intersect around the construction. On the Metal Version, these parts are made of anodized aluminum, which provides a cool, solid, and weighty feel, contrasting beautifully with the warm surface of the wood.

When viewed from different angles, it almost changes character. It can look like a triangular construction, a geometric sculpture, or an object floating inside its own frame.

It is precisely this combination of mechanics, geometry, and illusion that makes Anti-Gravity so special.

Mechanics all around

You don't just find one code and open a lock.

Puzzle Potato has built Anti-Gravity as a sequential puzzle, where you must gradually solve a series of different challenges. Along the way, you will work with, among other things:

sliding and locking mechanisms
symbols and patterns
hidden moving parts
magnetic functions
metal spheres
dials and sliders
a hidden mechanical arm

The solution requires that you examine the entire construction and figure out how the various mechanisms are connected. Puzzle Potato's official hints show, among other things, that you must free several of the intersecting frame parts, work with a small magnet, guide a metal sphere through the mechanism, and finally solve a sequence using tones.

Yes – it can actually play a little melody

One of the most unusual details is hidden toward the end of the puzzle experience.

When you get far enough through the solution, part of the construction becomes a type of mechanical flute. You need to use three tones to decode a musical sequence, which is part of the final solution.

It is such details that make Anti-Gravity more than just a classic wooden puzzle.

60–90 minute challenge

Anti-Gravity has an official difficulty level of 3 out of 5, and Puzzle Potato estimates around 1+ hours of playtime. The model is intended for 1–4 players and can be solved alone or together with others.

It provides a real escape room feeling in a format that can sit on your desk or bookshelf.

When it all suddenly makes sense

The fun thing about Anti-Gravity is that the many strange details are not just for show.

The various symbols, holes, sliders, dials, spheres, and moving elements are all parts of the total solution. As you solve each step, new parts of the construction are released until you can finally open the hidden compartment.

And that is precisely when the puzzle box goes from being a strange mechanical object to providing that true “now I get it!” experience.

A hidden compartment

As with Puzzle Potato's other puzzle boxes, Anti-Gravity ends with access to a hidden compartment, where you can place, for example:

Money · gift cards · a small gift · a personal message

This also makes it useful as a very different kind of gift, where the recipient must first solve the mystery to find the surprise.

Resettable

Once you have solved Anti-Gravity, it can be completely reset, so someone else can try their hand at it.

This makes it ideal for sharing with family and friends or letting multiple people try the same challenge.

Metal Version

This is the Metal Version.

It consists of a detailed wooden construction combined with anodized aluminum frames, which function both as a striking part of the design and as a central part of the puzzle experience.

The Metal Version has a cooler and more solid appearance than the Acrylic Version and feels heavier in the hand. Puzzle Potato describes this aluminum version as the variant with a “cool, weighty feel”.
